The Plantin Society is an exceptional association of friends of the Museum Plantin-Moretus. The society established a higher education programme in the Museum with the aim of raising aesthetic standards in typography and expertise in printing. In 2006, the Plantin Society had existed for 55 years. This was celebrated with an exhibition of the work of a number of teachers from the period 1951 to 1974.
The exhibition 'Magisterial. Masters of the Plantin Society (1951 - 1974)' marked the 55th anniversary of the Plantin Society.
