In 1555, Christoffel Plantin released his first book. Soon after, writers and scientists found their way to his printing office, the Officina Plantiniana. Plantin distributed the new findings of top scientists internationally.

Plantin is a publisher with a strong reputation. The quality of his printing is unmatched. In less than twenty years, Plantin's publishing house has become the top in Europe with townhouses in Frankfurt, Leiden and Paris.
